The popular Twitter client, TweetDeck, received a major update for all platforms. TweetDeck has just announced a new update to TweetDeck, based on design improvements, designed to make it more enjoyable and easy to use. The new version brings a reworked interface and, perhaps what interests us most, the option to choose a light-color theme.

One of the most notable updates is the ability to choose the background color and theme you want to implement. Earlier, the application used exclusively black background, where blocks of text were colored in gray, and the text was in white. Now, users have the opportunity to switch to a white background with dark text.

Among the new options is the possibility of changing the font size of the text. You can choose between a small (13 points), average (14 points) and a large (15 points) font size. There is also the possibility of modifying the amplitude of the columns.

“This update makes TweetDeck easier to use with design enhancements, personalization options and the addition of several frequently requested features,” writes TweetDeck Project Manager Richard Barley, in a blog post.

The presentation of tweets and many elements of the interface have also been slightly revised. There is a new button that still allows you to go from the original version to the white version and vice versa, depending on your own taste.

Twitter says it has also made general improvements regarding the readability of the text, icons, buttons and other interface elements. The tweet should be easier to read, and even more in line with the appearance of other official Twitter client.

TweetDeck 2 is free and is available as a web application and native application for OS X (via the Mac App Store) and Windows. TweetDeck Web users, as well as those who use it as an extension of Google Chrome, should be very pleased with one of the major changes, which is the ability to change TweetDeck’s theme.
